GIAN MARCO CIAMPA, Guitarrista

Gian Marco Ciampaian Marco Ciampa nació en Roma de 1990. después de estudiar con los más reputados profesores como Bruno Battisti d'Amario, Fabrizio Verile, Fernando Lepri y Celestino Dionisi, se graduó con las mejores calificaciones con Arturo Tallini en el Conservatorio de Santa Cecilia de Roma, donde en la actualidad sigue un curso de postgrado como concertista de dos años de duración.

Desde niño Gian Marco ha participado en varias competiciones musicales en Italia y en extranjero ("Omis International Guitar Competition", Croacia, International Competition "Alirio Diaz", International Competition "Premio Accademia" International Competition "Premio Accademia", International Competition "Ferdinando Carulli", International Competition "Giulio Rospigliosi", International Competition "Anemos"), recibiendo recientemente varios de los mas prestigiosos premios entre los que destacan: el primer premio en European Classical Guitar Competition "Enrico Mercatali" (Gorizia, Italia) en 2013 y en el International Competition "Niccolò Paganini" (Parma, Italia) en 2012.

Durante el verano de 2014 Gian Marco ganó una beca para cursar estudios en el prestigioso centro "New York Mannes College" y fue contratado para una gira de conciertos en los Estados Unidos que le permitió actuar en la New York Classical Guitar Society en el Manhattan Theatre de New York.


En 2014 recibió el premio otorgado por Scientific Committee of the International Competition "Michele Pittaluga" en Alessandria, donde obtuvo el premio "Golden Guitar" como joven talento.

Desde muy joven Gian Marco ha actuado en importantes salas y festivales por toda Italia y el extranjero como: Manhattan Theatre of New York para la "New York City Classical Guitar Society"; Omis International Guitar Festival, en la "Sala Sinopoli" Auditorium Parco della Musica y la Sala Accademica de "Santa Cecilia" Conservatorio de Rome; San Giacomo Festival (Bolonia); "Casa della Musica" (Parma); Chitarrissima Guitar Festival (Torino); Teatro Manzoni (Pistoia); Accademia Chigiana (Siena).


Varios de los mas importantes periódicos y revistas (La Repubblica, La Nazione, Il Tempo, Il Corriere Della Sera, Dotguitar, Le Cool etc.) han presentado artículos y entrevistas sobre Gian Marco y su talento.


En 2006 fue elegido entre miles de candidatos como uno de los dos jóvenes guitarristas invitados para actuar en vivo para la televisión italiana Rai 1 en el programa "Domenica In - Ieri, oggi e domani", presentado por el conocido Pippo Baudo, bajo la dirección musical del maestro Pippo Caruso.

En 2011 fue seleccionado para tomar parte en el curso de guitarra dirigido por el maestro Oscar Ghiglia en la prestigiosa Academia Chigiana de Siena, donde se graduó con méritos y recibió una beca como uno de los mejores estudiantes.

Su actuación ante las mas altas autoridades políticas italianas en el Palacio del Quirinale en Roma con motivo del International Holocaust Remembrance Day (27 enero 2013) fue retransmitida en vivo por la Radio Televisión Italiana (Rai 3).


A parte de la guitarra clásica, Gian Marco ha tocado siempre la guitarra eléctrica también. Como guitarrista con este instrumento ha actuado entre otros en Acoustic International Guitar Festival en Sarzana, Circolo degli artisti, Stazione Birra, Big Mama, Le Scimmie, Blackout, Jailbreak así como en estudios de grabación con su propia banda (the Libra) y como músico de sesión con otras bandas desde el rock hasta jazz, pop y música electrónica. Gian Marco es productor, autor y presentador de un programa de música emitido en Radio Luiss donde presenta músicos emergentes de Italia y el extranjero. Gian Marco también trabaja como productor musical y arreglista.

Ha participado regularmente en master clases en Alemania y Francia con nombre bien conocidos de la guitarra (Carlo Marchione, Judicael Perroy, Bruno Battisti d'Amario, Aniello Desiderio, Marcin Dylla, Nuccio d'Angelo, Fabio Zanon).

En 2013 fundó "Supernova", un grupo de guitarras formado por ocho jóvenes guitarristas italianos ganadores de concursos internacionales de guitarra.


Durante los últimos años Gian Marco ha sido profesor tanto de guitarra clásica como de guitarra eléctrica en varias escuelas de música en Roma como Civica Scuola delle Arti, the Cantiere della Musica, the Accademia Romana di Musica, the International Music Institute.

ian Marco Ciampa was born in Rome in 1990. After studying with high-calibre teachers such as Bruno Battisti d’Amario, Fabrizio Verile, Fernando Lepri and Celestino Dionisi, he graduated with top marks and distinction with M° Arturo Tallini from “Santa Cecilia” Conservatoire in Rome, where he is currently attending a postgraduate two-year course in Concert Practice.

Since he was a child he has taken part in and won several music competitions both in Italy and abroad ("Omis International Guitar Competition"(Croazia), International Competition "Alirio Diaz", International Competition “Premio Accademia” International Competition “Premio Accademia”, International Competition “Ferdinando Carulli”, International Competition “Giulio Rospigliosi”, International Competition “Anemos”), receiving in recent years also prestigious awards: among others, the first prize at the European Classical Guitar Competition "Enrico Mercatali" (Gorizia, Italy) in 2013 and at the International Competition “Niccolò Paganini” (Parma, Italy) in 2012.

During the summer of 2014 he won a scholarship to attend the prestigious "New York Mannes College" and is engaged in a series of concerts in the USA that led him to perform even for the famous NEW YORK CLASSICAL GUITAR SOCIETY at the Manhattan Theatre in New York.

In the same year he was awarded by the Scientific Committee of the International Competition "Michele Pittaluga" in Alessandria, which awarded him the prestigious "Golden Guitar" as a young talent.

Since he was very young Gian Marco has played concerts at important venues and festivals all over Italy and abroad: at the Manhattan Theatre of New York for the “New York City Classical Guitar Society”, at the Omis International Guitar Festival, at the “Sala Sinopoli” of the Auditorium Parco della Musica and the Sala Accademica of the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatoire in Rome, at the San Giacomo Festival (Bologna), at the <“Casa della Musica” (Parma), at the Chitarrissima Guitar Festival(Torino), at the Teatro Manzoni (Pistoia), at the Accademia Chigiana (Siena).

Several important Italian newspapers and magazines (La Repubblica, La Nazione, Il Tempo, Il Corriere Della Sera, Dotguitar, Le Cool etc.) have featured articles and interviews about Gian Marco and his talent.

In 2006 he was chosen – out of thousands of applicants – as one of two young guitarists who were invited to perform live on the Italian TV show “Domenica In - Ieri, oggi e domani” (Rai 1), hosted by famous Italian TV presenter Pippo Baudo under the musical direction of Maestro Pippo Caruso.

In 2011 he was selected to take part in the guitar course held by Maestro Oscar Ghiglia at the prestigious Accademia Chigiana in Siena, where he graduated with merit as well as receiving a scholarship as one of the best students.

His performance in front of the highest Italian political authorities at the Quirinale Palace in Rome on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day (27 January 2013) was broadcast live on Italian national television (Rai 3).

Besides classical guitar, Gian Marco has always played the electric guitar as well. As an electric guitarist he has performed, among others, at the Acoustic International Guitar Festival in Sarzana, Circolo degli artisti, Stazione Birra, Big Mama, Le Scimmie, Blackout, Jailbreak as well as in recording studios with both his own band (the Libra) and as a session player with other bands, ranging from rock to jazz music, from pop to electronic music. He is producer, author and presenter of a music programme broadcast on Radio Luiss and featuring emerging musicians from both Italy and abroad. Gian Marco also works as a music producer and arranger.

He has been regularly taking part in master classes both in Italy and abroad (Germany, France) held by world-class guitarists (Carlo Marchione, Judicael Perroy, Bruno Battisti d’Amario, Aniello Desiderio, Marcin Dylla, Nuccio d’Angelo, Fabio Zanon).

In 2013 is the founder and creator of the "SUPERNOVA", an ensemble of guitars consisting of 8 young Italian guitarists winners of international competitions.

Over the past few years Gian Marco has also been teaching both classical and electric guitar in several music schools in Rome such as the Civica Scuola delle Arti, the Cantiere della Musica, the Accademia Romana di Musica, the International Music Institute.
